The teachings of Jesus Christ are at the core of who we are and permeate all we do. We strive to live out our vision of a faith-filled community with a commitment to social justice, striving especially to uphold the dignity of every human person within our community and beyond.
Teachers plan our Religious Education program with the support of the Religious Education Leader, using the ‘To Know, Worship and Love’ text. The new Religious Education Framework is used as the basis for Religious Education throughout the Archdiocese of Melbourne.
We provide opportunities for our community to experience prayer and liturgy as part of school life. The whole school community attends special celebrations and liturgies such as feast days and other days that feature on the Church Calendar. Level masses and prayer celebrations occur on a regular basis and all students attend. Daily Christian meditation forms an integral part of our daily prayer life.
Catholic Social Teachings
As Mother Teresa so succinctly stated ‘Love is service in action.’ and as such we support those in need through our fundraising and awareness campaigns. Students from year 3-6 are invited to join Mini Vinnies, a student arm of the St Vincent de Paul Society. Our students and families are currently supporting our local community through the One Voice Shower bus and The Asylum Seeker Resource Centre (ASRC), CatholicCare and have a global focus in supporting Caritas.
